## Hi, I'm Noah Riggs.
I'm an independent researcher focused on how we can better utilize our own personal knowledge and data to live better lives. I believe that personal data management can be transformative, not just for productivity, but for how we think, create, and show up in the world. My current work focuses on helping individuals and creators reclaim ownership of their personal data, creating leverage and value from their lived experiences to build more meaningful lives.
As a professional creator and marketing consultant, I've spent the last decade working with everyone from individual creators and mom-and-pop shops to seven-figure companies and beyond. Through my years as a knowledge worker, I've learned that with good data and the right attitude, anyone can build a business and life that's both fulfilling and successful. I also know this process is one of the most challenging and worthwhile things anyone can do.
**It has been for me.**
In my free time you can find me taking [[pictures of the sunset and sunrise]] _(like the one below from a family trip to Florida on 2013-06-29)_, reading [[My Books]], and [[practicing the art of taking long walks]].

These notes are a space for me to express myself and work with the proverbial "garage door open" so that anyone may peek in. A collection of my personal notes, works, and emerging projects—free from algorithms, ranking signals, and the need to be polished, this is [[a space for doing my best thinking]].
Too many knowledge workers and individuals hoard information, eventually leading to overconsumption and overwhelm. Here I try to organize, distill, and express the things I learn, [[creating so that others may benefit]], including my future self.
[[Creating a personal wiki]] has given me a living, ever-changing representation of my thinking. It's allowed me to [[take knowledge work more seriously, treating it as a practice]], all while creating a surprising amount of leverage in the process. _(See: [[The Leverage of a Compounding Note Taking System]])_
> [!NOTE]- How are these notes different from my other blogs and projects?
>
> These notes are a look into more of my upstream thinking on many of these topics. For more polished and specific resources solving specific problems, I create more focused and refined tools and resources through:
>
> - [**Create & Go**](https://createandgo.com/) – a business dedicated to helping creators finish what matters and build sustainable online businesses
> - **Busy Living Better** – my personal laboratory and storytelling project where I share the messy, vulnerable, behind-the-scenes journey of discovering how we can use technology to live better, not busier lives, and how I can live this philosophy in real time
## Current Projects
I am currently working on a few projects that allow me to sustain myself as an independent worker while exploring my interests around data and technology. Through this work, I'm able to create tools and resources that empower myself and others.

If you find my work interesting, you can support it by getting your own copy of [CreateOS](https://createandgo.com/create-os/) to create your own knowledge system, [joining my community](https://www.skool.com/creators-club/about) where I help others utilize their own knowledge to finish more while stressing less, or by watching, liking, or subscribing to [my channel](https://www.youtube.com/c/CreateandGo).
## What I Use My Notes For
I am constantly philosophizing and pondering topics related to Technology, Education, Philosophy, Data, Psychology, Design, and Craftsmanship. It is at the intersection of these topics that I have found myself pulled along by my own curiosity. I utilize my notes as a thinking space for exploring these curiosities and doing research. Some of my essays exploring these topics and more can be found in [[My Works]].
I'm constantly exploring topics at the intersection of technology, business, education, philosophy, data, psychology, and design. My notes serve as a thinking space for this research, a place where curiosity leads and my ideas can compound. Through these notes I'm able to hone my skills and [[take knowledge work more seriously, treating it as a daily practice]].
> [!Quote] As Andy Matuschak so aptly put it in his public notes:
> "If you had to set one metric to use as a leading indicator for yourself as a knowledge worker, the best I know might be the number of [Evergreen notes](https://notes.andymatuschak.org/z5E5QawiXCMbtNtupvxeoEX) written per day. - [[Daily writing practice as the primary engine of a creator business]]

I also view my notes as a structure to support my [[Dimensions of Well-Being]]. It's in tracking my learnings and evolving philosophy in each of these areas that I have been able to reach greater holistic well-being and love for the work that I do. These dimensions are:
- [[Creativity]]
- [[Emotional]]
- [[Entertainment]]
- [[Environmental]]
- [[Financial]]
- [[Intellectual]]
- [[Occupational]]
- [[Physical]]

## How to Navigate This Vault
I suggest taking a peek at [[My Areas]] for any common interests or exploring by folder. You'll see that [[I organize my knowledge according to these principles]].
